I’m excited to say that throughout 2023, we will donate not 2% but a marvellous 5% of sales to WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation. Last year, we pledged to donate £200, and this was matched from the Small Business Star pot from Work for Good and doubled to £400! So far we’ve donated £600. That’s a HUGE achievement for a Small Independent Jewellery Business.
If you interacted with my brand in any way last year, then thank you. Your support means we’ve been able to donate to this wonderful charity to help save the whales and dolphins. From the likes on Instagram, the shares on facebook, an emoji comment to a thoughtful purchase, it all helps. Absolutely, it does.
When I launched Silver Nutshell Jewellery in 2019, I had an idea that I wanted to do more than just make jewellery. I wanted to build an eco-friendly small business; one that offers amazing customer service, makes people happy and also gives back. I am proud to say that my small business is contributing to help save the oceans and these beautiful creatures.
I got the idea to donate through @workforgood from another small business on Instagram
When you buy a beautiful piece of unique, one-of-a-kind, nature jewellery, you are donating to this wonderful charity. If you’re struggling to find a gift for a special someone who has everything, a gift that gives back could be the perfect solution.
I work with Work for Good, a wonderful fundraising platform that helps small businesses, like mine, donate to charity. It’s super easy to sign up and you simply choose your charity and pledge what you’re expecting to donate, be it £10, £100 or more. It doesn’t need to be a huge amount.
Every £1 donated will help a charity do some good
